Garrison and Cook earn Green and Gold Athletes of the Month for March

HERKIMER, NY—Herkimer College has announced its Green and Gold Athletes for the month of March. They are men’s bowler David Cook (Little Falls, NY) and women’s bowler Alexis Garrison (Clifton Park, NY).

Cook, a sophomore, finished second in Region III Singles and fifth in All Events as he was named to the All-Region Team. His regional performance was highlighted by high games of 254 and 225.

“David has been one of our most consistent bowlers over the last few years and also been pretty much a second coach to the rest of the team,” said head men’s and women’s bowling coach Tony DeLuca. “Nobody works harder on and off the lanes than him.”

Garrison, a freshman, finished fifth in Region III in singles, third with her partner in the doubles competition, and third in the All Events program, where she was named to the All-Region Team.

“Alexis is a fantastic bowler, an excellent student, and a great softball player as well,” DeLuca said. “She has a great Regional tournament, and I could not be more proud of everything she has accomplished up to this point and what she will continue to accomplish in the future.”
