Harris Wins National Championship

Troy NY- Avion Harris(Niagara Falls, NY) captured his first National Championship in the 1500 Meters beating a very competitive field in a personal best time of 4:09.59. There was only 1.32 seconds separating the first 4 finishers in the race that Harris lead from start to finish. He was awarded First Team All-American honors for his efforts and placed 3^rd in the 800 Meter Run later in the day with a time of 2:00.97. He was an All-American honorable mention in the 800 Meter run. Notorious Gue(Unadilla, NY) finished 8^th in the Triple Jump and the Men’s Team placed 15^th out of 28 teams.

Ja’Nia Ray(Syracuse, NY) ran a personal best 17.1 seconds finishing 6^th in the finals of the 100 Meter High Hurdles at the NJCAA National Championships at Hudson Valley Community College. Jynnae Stevens(Schenectady, NY) Placed 7^th in the 200 Meters and the Herkimer College Women’s team placed 17^th out of 23 teams.
