Herkimer College to hold 57th Annual Commencement
Herkimer County Community College will hold its 57th Commencement on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 4 p.m. in the Physical Education building. There are 365 graduates and candidates for degrees and certificates.
Officer-in-Charge Nicholas F. Laino will preside over the ceremony.
The National Anthem will be sung by Rachel Harris, a Music Industry A.S. major from Cassville, NY. The invocation and benediction will be delivered by Professor George Smith, Minister of Joy Everlasting Ministries.
The procession will be led by the faculty representative and macebearer, Assistant Professor of English/Philosophy Daniel Thompsune.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees Daniel Reardon, Herkimer College Academic Senate President Jennifer Adjodha-Evans, Ph.D., Student Government Association President Jaden Madrid, of Rochester, NY, and Herkimer County Administrator James W. Wallace Jr. will deliver greetings.
Sean Anthony Noel, a Marketing major from Bronx, NY, will deliver the student address titled “The One Piece.” Degrees will be conferred by Laino with assistance from Provost Michael Oriolo and Dean of Students/Director of Athletics Donald Dutcher.
Admission to the ceremony is by ticket only. A live webcast of the ceremony will be available at www.herkimer.edu/commencement. A reception will be held on the lawn immediately following the ceremony.
