Women’s Soccer Midfielder Yetnelyz Lugo-Mateo Named September Green & Gold Female Athlete of the Month

Herkimer College women’s soccer standout Yetnelyz “Yeti” Lugo-Mateo, a sophomore General Studies major from Utica, NY, has been named the September Green & Gold Female Athlete of the Month.

Lugo-Mateo earned NJCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Player of the Week and NJCAA Region 3 Athlete of the Week honors for the week of September 9–16.

Throughout September, Yeti contributed eight goals and three assists, totaling 19 points, helping to lead the Generals to several key victories.

Her offensive presence and consistent play have made her a driving force for the team’s success this season.
