Timberwolves top tennis team
Queensbury, NY - The Generals and the SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves played a lot of tennis on Wednesday afternoon. The two teams had met in Herkimer on April 10, but weather forced that match to be suspended. The April 10 contest was completed at Adirondack on Wednesday and was followed by the regularly scheduled match.
It was a lovely day for tennis - one of the best days of the spring so far. Temps were in the upper 60s, and there was ample sunshine on the Queensbury courts.
The T-wolves, however, are a strong team. They shut out the Generals in both matches, winning by 9-0 scores.
Tate Coe had the best outing for Herkimer Coe played Third Singles and narrowly lost a three-set match.
The Generals will play again on Thursday afternoon, hosting Broome CC at 4:00 on their home courts in East Herkimer.
