Herkimer College Welcomes Students for the Fall 2025 Semester
Herkimer College has begun the Fall 2025 semester with strong enrollment growth and an energized campus community. Students moved into College housing on Saturday, August 30, with classes officially beginning on Tuesday, September 2.

Green and Gold Event to Feature Mookie Wilson and Bill Buckner Appearance and Robert Channing PerformanceThe Herkimer County College Foundation will host former New York Mets legend Mookie Wilson and former Boston Red Sox first baseman Bill Buckner for a special “Green and Gold Event” at Herkimer College. The pair are best known for their infamous play in game six of the ’86 World Series. Following their appearance, mentalist and speed painter Robert Channing will perform an ESP/mind reading show.

College Transfer DayCollege representatives from over 70 SUNY and private colleges will participate in Herkimer College’s Transfer College Day on Tuesday, April 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Robert McLaughlin College Center. Representatives will provide information about their colleges and answer questions specifically related to transfer.

Spring Open HouseHerkimer College will hold its Spring Open House on Saturday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students and families will have the opportunity to meet the faculty, tour campus and learn about academic support services, athletics, financial aid, on-campus housing and campus life.

Herkimer College Appoints Director of Continuing EducationHerkimer College announces the promotion of Daniel Sargent of Holland Patent, NY to the position of director of continuing education. Sargent will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Office of Continuing Education including the supervision and development of non-credit programming including community interest, fitness center and professional/workforce development; budget development and management for the Community Education Office, One Stop outreach and the Cogar Gallery; grant writing and managing the usage of campus facilities and related services.
