MSCHE Accreditation (Reaffirmation of Accreditation, March 2021)

HCCC completed a three-year college-wide self-study process examining institutional policies, processes, practices and procedures, to ensure compliance with the MSCHE Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation. The College also reported on its verification of federal and regulatory compliance, in accordance with the self-study.

The College submitted its final self-study document in February 2020. Originally scheduled for March 2020, the evaluation team’s visit was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The MSCHE self-study evaluation team visit was completed virtually October 18-21, 2020. The seven-member peer review team conducted numerous interviews and meetings with faculty, staff, students, trustees and administrators, in an effort to amplify, clarify and verify the content of the self-study. The evaluation team reported that Herkimer met all standards with commendations and no mandatory recommendations. In March 2021, the Commission took action to reaffirm Herkimer's full accreditation.
