  • Herkimer College Science Club Restores Historic Markers
    During the spring semester, the Herkimer College Science Club restored two historic markers in Sauquoit, NY marking the birthplace of Dr. Asa Gray, a botanist and friend of Charles Darwin. In addition to restoring the historic markers, the Club also symbolically adopted a snowy owl at the Utica Zoo with funds won at various events throughout the academic year. Pictured are the historic markers before and after the restoration work. The Science Club is one of nearly 40 student clubs and organizations at Herkimer College. The Science Club is advised by Dr. Nicole McDaniels, assistant professor, Science, and exists to expand and promote scientific knowledge via fictional book reviews, field trips, guest speakers and other events. 
  • Herkimer College Appoints Assistant Professor
    Herkimer College announces the appointment of Christina M. Bobesky of Camillus, NY to the position of assistant professor for Human Services. Bobesky will be responsible for teaching introductory courses in social services and case management and will teach and supervise practicum students.  
  • Applications Being Accepted for 39th Herkimer County Arts & Crafts Fair
    Vendor applications are available for the 39th Herkimer County Arts & Crafts Fair, Saturday and Sunday, November 14 & 15, 2015 at Herkimer College. Booth spaces are $155 for both days at Herkimer College. Applications are available at  www.herkimer.edu/ac or by calling the Herkimer County College Foundation at 315-866-0300, ext. 8459.
  • Athletic Hall of Fame to Induct Class of 2015
    Herkimer College’s 2015 Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held Friday, October 2, 2015 in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, as part of the College’s Fall Fest & Alumni Weekend.
  • Full Tuition Scholarship
    The Herkimer County College Foundation is accepting applicants for a Full-Tuition Scholarship, for the first year of study at Herkimer College, being made possible through the Thomas J. and Joann L. Casale Family Scholarship Fund at Herkimer College. It is available to a 2015 graduating senior from Herkimer High School who must be planning to enroll at Herkimer College full-time in the fall 2015 semester.
  • Notice of Video Conferencing Location for Board of Trustees Meeting
    The Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on Monday, June 22 at 6:00 p.m. in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, room 282/283. The public may also attend the meeting via video conferencing at the following location:  Colorado Springs Marriott, 5580 Tech Center Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80919.
