    Students enrolled in the Communication Arts: Radio-Television Broadcasting program at HCCC have been nominated by the Associated Press New York State Broadcasters Awards for outstanding student produced news coverage.
  • HCCC 5th Annual Student Film Showcase Travels to Little Falls
    HCCC and Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts will present the college’s 5th Annual Student Film Showcase from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9 at the Valley Cinemas in Little Falls. The presentation will feature original works produced by students in the Communication Arts: Digital Filmmaking curriculum at HCCC.
  • Student Film Showcase Friday, May 8
    HCCC will hold its sixth annual Student Film Showcase on Friday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, room 288. The showcase will feature original works produced by students enrolled in the Digital Filmmaking program. The event is free and open to the public.   • HCCC Students Attend National Convention
    Members of HCCC’s Upsilon Epsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society attended the Phi Theta Kappa International NerdNation Convention in San Antonio, Texas on April 16-19. The purpose of the convention is to foster personal and chapter development through educational sessions and leadership training, broaden attendees’ perspectives through thought-provoking speakers and recognize achievements. Among the keynote speakers at the convention was Grammy award-winning musician John Legend. Pictured is the HCCC group at the Alamo.
  • HCCC Appoints Research Assistant
    HCCC announces the appointment of Rebeccah Socolof of Ilion, NY to the position of research assistant. Socolof will assist the assistant dean of academic affairs for assessment & institutional effectiveness and the director of institutional research with preparing materials and responding to state, federal and accreditation agency requests for data and information. She will be responsible for organizing and coordinating research to support organizational assessment, planning, data analysis and accreditation processing.
  • New Academic Program: Laboratory Technology
    HCCC is now offering an associate in applied science degree program in Laboratory Technology. The program is the latest of several new STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) programs introduced at HCCC. Applications are being accepted for fall 2015.
