Herkimer County Community College is expanding its academic offerings with the launch of a new Artificial Intelligence – Business degree program, designed to prepare students for success in one of today’s fastest-growing and most in-demand fields.

HCCC to Offer Instant Admit Days in DecemberHCCC will offer three Instant Admit Days in December. Students interested in enrolling for the spring 2015 semester will be able to visit, apply and get admitted to the College on the same day. Instant Admit Days will be held on Friday, December 5, 12 & 19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Festival of Lights at Herkimer Mini ParkHCCC is planning the annual “Festival of Lights” on Wednesday, December 3 at the Tony Baggetta Mini Park, located on the corner of West Smith and William Streets. The festival will begin at 7 p.m. followed by a reception at the Herkimer Area Resource Center Valley Commons, located at 344 South Main Street.

Science Club Visits New England AquariumThe HCCC Science Club visited the New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts as part of their animal themed events for the year. The club also has some fundraising events scheduled for this semester and the spring semester to raise funds to adopt an animal symbolically at the Utica Zoo. HCCC to Offer START Days for Spring SemesterHCCC will offer four Student Testing, Advisement, Registration and Transition (START) Days for new incoming first year & transfer students for the spring 2015 semester.

American Red Cross Blood DriveHCCC is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, December 4 from 10:30 am – 3:30 pm. It will be held in Alumni Hall, room 217 of the McLaughlin College Center. The blood drive is being co-sponsored the Men’s Baseball Team.

Herkimer Generals Offer Free Basketball ClinicThe Herkimer Generals Men’s Basketball team will be hosting a free walk-in basketball clinic this Friday, November 21 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
