  • LIVE on the air with “HCTV News”
    HCCC Radio-Television Broadcasting students enrolled in Advanced Video Production will participate in a daily live news program. “HCTV News” will air Monday, April 28 through Friday, May 2 at 5 p.m. A 15 minute newscast will be on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, with a 30 minute newscast to run on Thursday.
  • Candlelight Vigil Held
    A candlelight vigil was held at HCCC’s Wehrum Stadium Monday evening in memory of student Peter McAvoy who passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 19.
  • Candle light vigil to be held Monday Evening at Wehrum Stadium
    HCCC will hold a candle light vigil Monday, April 21 in memory of student Peter McAvoy who passed away suddenly on Saturday evening. The vigil will take place at Wehrum Stadium at 7 p.m. A senior from Dundee, Scotland and captain of the men's soccer team, McAvoy collapsed suddenly in his Reservoir Run apartment. At this time, the cause of death is unknown. Dean of Students Matthew Hawes said "Our deepest condolences are with Peter's family as they grieve this tragic loss. Our thoughts are also with his teammates, coaches, friends, faculty and staff during this difficult time."
  • HCCC Offers Information Session
    HCCC will hold an Information Session for prospective students on Saturday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to noon in the McLaughlin College Center. Representatives from the Admissions office will be available to explain and assist with the application process. Campus tours will be offered at 10 and 11 am.   • Music Industry Transfer Articulation Agreements
    HCCC has established transfer articulation agreements for students in Music Industry with SUNY Oneonta and SUNY College at Oswego.
  • Student Completes Honors Project
    Alice Curtis, a Business Administration major from Mohawk, NY recently completed an Honors Program project “How to Finger-Knit” by presenting to several Fashion Buying and Merchandising classes on how to make a knit stitch as well as teaching students how to finger-knit a scarf. Curtis is a published author who wrote a knitting book “Knit Your Socks Straight” which is a follow up to “Knitting on two Straight Needles,” (Storey Publishing).
