Herkimer College to Offer Instant Admit Days in JulyHerkimer College will offer four Instant Admit days in the month of July for students interested in enrolling for the fall 2015 semester. Students interested in enrolling will be able to visit, apply and get admitted to the College on the same day. Instant Admit days will be held on Monday July 6, 13, 20 & 27 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Herkimer College Science Club Restores Historic MarkersDuring the spring semester, the Herkimer College Science Club restored two historic markers in Sauquoit, NY marking the birthplace of Dr. Asa Gray, a botanist and friend of Charles Darwin. In addition to restoring the historic markers, the Club also symbolically adopted a snowy owl at the Utica Zoo with funds won at various events throughout the academic year. Pictured are the historic markers before and after the restoration work. The Science Club is one of nearly 40 student clubs and organizations at Herkimer College. The Science Club is advised by Dr. Nicole McDaniels, assistant professor, Science, and exists to expand and promote scientific knowledge via fictional book reviews, field trips, guest speakers and other events.

Herkimer College Appoints Assistant ProfessorHerkimer College announces the appointment of Christina M. Bobesky of Camillus, NY to the position of assistant professor for Human Services. Bobesky will be responsible for teaching introductory courses in social services and case management and will teach and supervise practicum students.
