Herkimer County Community College is expanding its academic offerings with the launch of a new Artificial Intelligence – Business degree program, designed to prepare students for success in one of today’s fastest-growing and most in-demand fields.

Eighty One Students Inducted to Phi Theta Kappa International Honor SocietyHerkimer County Community College’s Upsilon Epsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Society inducted 81 students at a ceremony on April 26 in the Robert McLaughlin College Center. Chapter President Jill Cadena David presided over the ceremony, along with College President Cathleen McColgin, Provost Michael Oriolo and Dean of Students Dr. Matthew Hawes.

Herkimer College Phi Theta Kappa Members Volunteer at Herkimer County Humane SocietyMembers of Herkimer County Community College’s Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society chapter volunteered at the Herkimer County Humane Society on Saturday, April 30. Advisors and students walked dogs, socialized with cats, cleaned windows and scrubbed cat towers. The visit capped a spring cleaning supplies drive held by the chapter, and was organized by chapter member Stephanie Temple (Ilion, NY). Herkimer County Community College Announces 48th Annual CommencementHerkimer County Community College’s 48th Commencement will be held Friday, May 20 at 5 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Physical Education Building. There are 543 candidates for degrees and certificates this year.

Multicultural Event Held for Children's CenterStudents in the Early Childhood and Childhood Education programs at Herkimer College recently hosted a multi-cultural event for the College’s Children Center. The event was part of a hands-on learning experience for the students who were tasked with offering age appropriate activities to engage the preschoolers at the Children’s Center.
