  • Eighty One Students Inducted to Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society
    Herkimer County Community College’s Upsilon Epsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Society inducted 81 students at a ceremony on April 26 in the Robert McLaughlin College Center. Chapter President Jill Cadena David presided over the ceremony, along with College President Cathleen McColgin, Provost Michael Oriolo and Dean of Students Dr. Matthew Hawes.
  • Herkimer College Phi Theta Kappa Members Volunteer at Herkimer County Humane Society
    Members of Herkimer County Community College’s Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society chapter volunteered at the Herkimer County Humane Society on Saturday, April 30. Advisors and students walked dogs, socialized with cats, cleaned windows and scrubbed cat towers. The visit capped a spring cleaning supplies drive held by the chapter, and was organized by chapter member Stephanie Temple (Ilion, NY).   • Full Tuition Scholarship for Herkimer High School Senior
    The Herkimer County College Foundation is accepting applicants for a full-tuition scholarship for the first year of study at Herkimer College, being made possible through the Thomas J. and Joann L. Casale Family Scholarship Fund at Herkimer College.

    Herkimer College recently entered into new transfer agreements with The College of Saint Rose. The agreements will guarantee Herkimer College students a smooth transition upon completion of the A.S. degree in Childhood Education into the following degree programs at The College of Saint Rose:
  • Herkimer County Community College Announces 48th Annual Commencement
    Herkimer County Community College’s 48th Commencement will be held Friday, May 20 at 5 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Physical Education Building. There are 543 candidates for degrees and certificates this year.
  • Multicultural Event Held for Children's Center
    Students in the Early Childhood and Childhood Education programs at Herkimer College recently hosted a multi-cultural event for the College’s Children Center.  The event was part of a hands-on learning experience for the students who were tasked with offering age appropriate activities to engage the preschoolers at the Children’s Center.
