  HCCC Names New Director of Admissions

  Michael Harrington, of Herkimer, NY, has been promoted to director of admissions at HCCC. He previously served as an admissions assistant at the College since August 2024. In this role, Harrington has built relationships with school counselors, advised prospective students on academic programs and support services, organized recruitment events, and managed recruitment data and prospective student outreach through a customer relationship management (CRM) system.

  HCCC Professor of English, Dr. Elwood-Farber, Publishes Textbook “Foundations of Writing and Literature”

  Dr. Lisa Elwood-Farber, Professor of English at HCCC has published her first textbook, “Foundations of Writing and Literature”, with Kendall Hunt Publishing.

  HCCC Appoints Payroll Staff Accountant and Purchasing Agent

  Joseph Kelly, of New Hartford, NY, has been appointed to the position of payroll staff accountant. Kelly most recently served as staff accountant for the Faculty-Student Association at HCCC. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Albany.
