Herkimer College Awards Academic Honors for Spring 2015Herkimer College awarded academic honors to 480 students for the spring 2015 semester. Of those students awarded honors, 184 were named to the President's List for earning a grade point average of 3.80 or higher, and 296 were named to the Dean's List for earning a grade point average between 3.25 and 3.79.

Herkimer Elementary Students Visit Herkimer CollegeApproximately 95 sixth grade students and their teachers from Herkimer Elementary School recently attended a field day at Herkimer College. The students learned about academic programs and the career fields they lead to, received guided tours of the campus and the Nature Trail, and enjoyed recreational activities and games at Wehrum Stadium. They also had an opportunity to meet Herkimer College’s new president, Cathleen McColgin, on her third day on campus. Pictured with President McColgin are several of the students from the group. HCTV News Wins Top Honors in AP AwardsStudents enrolled in the Communication Arts: Radio-Television Broadcasting program at Herkimer College can now add awards for “Best Regularly Scheduled Newscast” and “Best News Story” to their accomplishments. “HCTV News” won the top prize in both categories at the New York State Broadcasters Association Associated Press awards dinner on Saturday, June 6 in Saratoga Springs.

Herkimer College Student-Athletes Receive Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete AwardThree Herkimer College student athletes have received the 2015 SUNY Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete Award recognizing a combination of outstanding academic excellence and superior athletic achievement. The three Herkimer College students were among 80 recipients statewide this year.
