ASAP Program at Herkimer College

Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) is an opportunity program that helps motivated students successfully complete their degree within three years. ASAP provides academic and financial support to eligible students accepted into the program.

 

Student Benefits

ASAP students will receive additional academic and financial support as follows:

Academic Support:

  • Regular meetings with an ASAP program advisement specialist
  • Tutoring support
  • ASAP special events
  • Career development workshops

Financial Support:

  • Cost of attendance award after financial aid has been applied
  • Stipend for Textbooks and Materials
  • Transportation assistance

Eligibility Criteria

New, transfer, returning, and continuing students who meet the criteria below are eligible to apply for the ASAP program for the Fall 2024 semester. 

  • Must be eligible for in-state tuition
  • Must apply for both federal (FAFSA) and state (TAP) financial aid*
  • Must enroll full-time (12 or more credit hours) each semester
  • Must not have acquired more than 21 college credits (excluding credits earned while in high school)
  • Must enroll in one of the degree programs at Herkimer College. All programs are accepted except for those in Healthcare & Services and STEM

ASAP Student Responsibilities

To continue your enrollment in the program, ASAP students must:

  • maintain full-time status throughout the entire semester (12 or more credit hours) for each semester
  • apply for federal and state financial aid each year (or submit an Affidavit of Tuition Payment form)*

*U.S. citizens and permanent residents must apply for both federal (FAFSA) and state (TAP) financial aid each year. Students who are not eligible to file for FAFSA or TAP (or choose not to file) are required to submit an Affidavit of Tuition Payment form.
