  Student Film Showcase this Thursday Evening

  HCCC will hold its 5th Annual Student Film Showcase on Thursday, May 8 at 7 p.m. in the Robert McLaughlin College Center Amphitheater. The showcase will feature works from Associate Professor Robert Gassmann’s Digital Filmmaking class, as well as from a special film seminar taught by Assistant Professor of English Andrew G. Devitt, Instructor of English Matthew Powers and Gassmann. The event is free and open to the public.

  HCCC Relaunches Literary Magazine

  The short stories, poems, and artwork of HCCC students, alumni, emeritus, and staff will be showcased in the relaunch of the College’s literary magazine, Phaethon. The magazine shares a long and prestigious history with the college and has featured the works of many talented artists over the years.

  Phi Theta Kappa Induction

  Sixty-seven HCCC students were inducted into the Upsilon Epsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Phi Theta Kappa provides development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas, lively fellowship of scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.

  46th Annual HCCC Commencement

  Herkimer County Community College’s 46th annual Commencement will be held Friday, May 16 at 5 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Physical Education building. There are 695 candidates for degrees and certificates this year.
