  Herkimer College Human Services Club Winter Necessity Drive a Success

  The Human Services Club at Herkimer College collected gently used winter necessities in donation boxes on campus. The items were donated to children in need within Herkimer County through Catholic Charities.

  Human Services Club at Herkimer College Performs Holiday Concert for Nursing Home Residents

  The Human Services Club at Herkimer College performed a holiday concert for the residents of The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Home at Mohawk Valley in Ilion on Wednesday, December 12th. Included in the concert were performances by students Matthew Aceto of Deerfield and Julia Grippe of Sauquoit, majoring in Music Industry at Herkimer College. Club members presented residents with bells and ornaments which they adorned with special quotes. Club advisor Grace Ashline said, "It was pretty impactful and powerful. Julia and Matt sang beautifully. The jingle bells with quotes and donated ornaments brought residents and staff to tears. It was pretty humbling and an event I am very proud of the Human Services club for identifying, coordinating and pulling off."

  The Robert H. Wood Great Artists Series will present Hot Club Cool Yule on Friday, December 14 at 7:00 p.m. in Herkimer College’s Sarkus-Busch Theater. The performance is open to the public and free of charge.

  The Amnesty International Club at Herkimer College will host their annual Write-a-thon on Wednesday, December 5 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Robert McLaughlin College center, upper lobby. This program is open to the public.
