This course provides students with both a practical and theoretical understanding of operating systems and their role in modern computer systems. Topics include process management, virtual memory, device management, spooling, multitasking, network connectivity, file system, and security. The installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of a current Microsoft Windows operating system will be covered in detail.
