This course is a continuation of SC 253. The course provides a thorough study of the structure and function of the human body, building on the general knowledge base provided in Anatomy and Physiology I, with a more in-depth study of regulation of body function and homeostatic imbalance. Topics include the special senses, and the endocrine, cardiovascular, immune, respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems. In the laboratory, students are engaged in identification and recognition of anatomical structures and physiology using dissection specimens, microscopy and experimentation. Prerequisite: SC 253 (recommended grade of C or better).
