This course introduces students to a foundational understanding of chemical dependency on a continuum of wellness. The course is designed within the general framework of definitions; intervention; treatment modalities and its impact on a micro and macro level. Students will be introduced to historical contexts, societal impacts, cultural influences and the future of prevention. This course is open to Human Services majors only and will be offered in the fall semester.
