Kurt J. Ackerman

Kurt J. Ackerman, of Little Falls, NY, was appointed to the Board of Trustees by the Herkimer County Legislature in July 2025. His term expires on June 30, 2032.

Mr. Ackerman previously served on the Board of Trustees from 2010-2019 and has also served on the board of the Herkimer County Community College Housing Corporation.

Mr. Ackerman has been a legislator for Herkimer County since 2009. He serves as chairman of the Ways and Means, Planning and Development, and Information Services Committees.

Mr. Ackerman is a senior supervisor of customer metering services at National Grid. He holds an associate degree in marketing from Hudson Valley Community College
