Two New Student Orientation sessions will be offered. We have many tips, tricks, and tools to aid and support your academic journey. Hear our recommendations on how to prepare for the first day of class, learn why a syllabus is so important. and meet the people ready to help YOU be successful at Herkimer College.

Orientation will also include a session on “What do grit, and perseverance mean to you?” We’ll also discuss expectations for the new year, the Orientation Course in GO, and next steps. And we will conclude with a
Q & A!

Choose One:

Session A:  Wednesday, January 10th, 6 – 8 pm – VIRTUAL SESSION

Session B: Wednesday, January 17th, 2 – 3:30 pm in RMCC 288 – IN PERSON SESSION

You must attend ONE or the OTHER session and you decide if you’d prefer to attend virtually (on 1/10/24) or in person (on 1/17/24).

Students are encouraged to check their College email for additional information. The link for the virtual session will also be sent to your Herkimer email.

Through this Orientation course, I learned how special Herkimer College really is! The orientation course is both informative and applicable regardless of whether you live on campus or not, or whether you are a traditional or non-traditional student. Herkimer has so many support systems in place to assist in making the student’s experience a positive one. Everyone’s “door is open” to help students be successful, from professors and advisors to 24/7 hotlines when someone is in crisis.
