Prevention Services Coordinator

Herkimer College, through a collaboration with the Herkimer County Prevention Council, a program of Catholic Charities of Herkimer County, has a Prevention Services Coordinator (PSC) on campus Monday through Friday to provide alcohol and other drug prevention/brief intervention services to Herkimer College students.

Prevention Services/Programs:

The PSC provides a variety of educational presentations to Herkimer College students, with specialized curriculum provided to First Year Seminar classes, student-athletes and resident assistants.

Brief Intervention Services:

Students have access to confidential, one-on-one sessions with the PSC to discuss their substance use issues/concerns or if they have been affected by the substance use of a loved one.

The eCHECKUP TO GO screening assessment will provide you with accurate and personalized feedback about:

Your individual drinking or cannabis use patterns
Your risk patterns
Your aspirations and goals
Helpful resources at Herkimer Community College and in your community
