Award of Credit by Evaluation
Herkimer County Community College is committed to the idea that individuals deserve credit for college-level learning, no matter how it was acquired.
When learning acquired through work or life experience is at the college level, it can be identified in an evaluative process designed for students to demonstrate by examination, license, portfolio, essay, etc. (at the discretion of the evaluator) that their knowledge or competence is worthy of college credit. For further information on the prior learning assessment process, please contact Dr. Robin Riecker at 315-866-0300 x8430 or rieckerra@herkimer.edu.
