Transfer Credit Evaluation
If you have taken prior coursework at another college, you may submit an official transcript of your work for evaluation. It is recommended that you do so as soon as possible upon applying to the college so that you can receive your evaluation results before registering for classes at HCCC.
Transcripts can be sent to the Registrar's Office at HCCC by your prior institution through an electronic transcript delivery system or via physical mail.
Only grades of “C” or better will be considered for transfer credit. Credit must also be applicable to your current degree or certificate program at HCCC.
To earn a degree or certificate from HCCC, students must successfully complete 25% of the total credit hours required for their program, including specific courses in their field of study, at HCCC.
Transfer Appeal Process:
If you do not agree with HCCC's decision on the granting or placement of credit that you earned at a prior SUNY institution, you have the right to pursue the Transfer Appeal Process.
