POLICY STATEMENT:  It is the policy of the Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees that all media requests to the Board of Trustees be referred to the College President.

BACKGROUND:  The Board of Trustees, in discussions related to this issue, has committed itself to responding in a unified, reliable, and consistent manner to requests for information and other inquiries by the news media. In order to evaluate and consider questions about issues posed by the news media and to develop clear and concise statements and responses the Board puts forth, in this policy statement, a step to control this process.
